6 0.22 for the Poapratensis varieties. The rate of decline in digestibility for Phleumpratense increased 0.048 percentage units for each "C increase in temperature. This is exactly the same coefficient as found in earlier experiments in Sweden. Generally Seida had a higher content of potassium and magnesium than the other varieties. Phleum pratense was generally lower in calcium content than the other varieties. NIR analysis of crude protein gave good results and the same database can be used in all these countries, but some improvements are needed on the NIR analysis for digestibility. The present project has provided valuable information on the growth and development of the most important grass species in countries in the Northwest Atlantic Region: Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Furthermore the collaboration between scientists in the participating countries has led to valuable exchange of information.
