RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Density of sown grass and weed cover
Kollafjorður. Cover of sown grass was estimated for each plot in Kollafjorður May 29, 1996,
June 2 1997 and June 16 1999 (Table 5). From the beginning there were more weeds in the
experiment in Kollafjorður than at the other locations. However, the cover of Poa pratensis
increased from spring 1996 to spring 1997 and in 1999 Fylking had reached 82% cover.
