Most passengers flying between Europe and North
America have to change planes en route. And Reykjavík’s
airport, Keflavík International in southwest Iceland, is there
to provide the ideal Atlantic stepping stone.
Situated halfway between the eastern seaboard of North
America and Europe, Keflavík International offers unbeat-

Scandinavia and Scotland and gateways in Canada and the
USA.
Icelandair’s route network is based on a hub-and-spoke
system with Keflavík International as the nerve-centre.
Flights departing from six North American cities arrive in
Iceland sixty to ninety minutes before departures to four-
teen destinations in Scandinavia, the UK and Central
Europe.
MAKE THE CHANGE AT KEFLAVÍK
The procedure is reversed in the afternoon with flights from
Europe arriving in Keflavík shortly before the Icelandair
fleet takes off for North America.
The Leifur Eiríksson Terminal at Keflavík International air-
port is where passengers get their first impressions of
