THE CONNOISSEUR’S DABBLE
The World Beer Cup International Competition has been dubbed the “Beer Producer’s
Olympics”, and understandably so, since it is one of the most recognised events with-
in the industry.
The competition has 70 different categories, according to where the beer comes from,
and how it is made. In last year’s competition, held in Colorado, USA, DAB beer took
second place in the “European style pilsener” category – a great accolade considering the
competition.
The judges’ panel consisted of some of the most highly qualified beer tasters from across
the globe, and lovers of the amber brew will feel no pity for that panel when they find out
that they can taste no more than 30 of the world’s finest beers a day.
DAB beer is available at the Leifur Eiríksson Terminal. Stop in and pick up a pack.
A DECADE OF TIME
This year marks the 10th anniversary of TAG Heuer’s commitment to improv-
ing the timing technology involved in Formula 1 Racing, one of the most chal-
lenging of sports. For the past ten years, TAG Heuer has been dedicated to
achieving an accuracy and reliability never before reached in timekeeping.
The company responsible for crafting such high quality sport watches has
been timing major sporting events since 1920, when the forerunner of TAG
Heuer, the Heuer company, became the official timekeeper of the Olympic
Games in Antwerp.
The technology associated with precision timing has been transferred to each
elegant chronograph, and the company’s partnerships with different sporting
events, especially auto racing, has directly impacted product development in
terms of accuracy, shape, design and much more.
Check out TAG Heuer’s unique line of watches at Leonard’s Gift Boutique
