Space Cowboys
Four top fighter pilots, now
retired, are brought back into
service to assist NASA during a
major satellite crisis.Although
their cocky, nonconformist atti-
tudes kept the quartet out of
the space programme in the
1960s, their specialised knowl-
edge of the workings of a
damaged satellite unexpectedly
enables them, later in their
lives, to get another chance to
go into space – if they can pass
the same physical and skill tests
as those taken by the younger
astronauts.

O Brother Where Art Thou?
Loosely based on Homer’s
Odyssey, this Coen Brothers (of
Fargo fame) film is a grotesquely
funny adventure of three 1920’s
convicts who break out of jail to
retrieve the loot from a bank raid,
now buried at a house which is
soon to be flooded by dam water.
They are confronted by various
characters seemingly intent on
hindering them… among whom
are sirens, a Cyclops, a bankrobber
George “Babyface” Nelson (who
hates his nickname), a campaigning
governor and his opponent, a KKK
mob, and a blind prophet who
predicts “the treasure you seek
shall not be the treasure you find”.
Genre: Crime/Adventure/Comedy
Featuring: George Clooney,
John Turturro,Tim Blake Nelson
Director: Joel Coen
