DIRECTORATE FOR THE QUALITY OF
MEDICINES

To meet its expanding accommodation needs, the Council of Europe is building
2 new constructions in the European District of Strasbourg (France) and is
organising a call for tenders by separate contracts open solely to
companies established in one of its 45 member states: Albania, Andorra,
Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland,
Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, the Netherlands,
Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, San Marino, Serbia and Montenegro,
Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, "the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia",
Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

The call for tenders will be organised in two phases : a call for bidders;
selection of companies on the basis of application files who wiil be invited to
take part in the restricted tendering procedure for the works.

The project for the new building for the general needs of the Council of
Europe comprises: a building containing offices and meeting rooms with a floor
area of approximately 22,000 m_, a creche/kindergarten stop-over, a 335-
space covered car park and the landscaping of the site with a surface area of
about 21,000 m_. The total cost of the works is estimated at : 31 600 000 €
ex. VAT

The project for the new building for the European Directorate for the Quality
of Medicines comprises: a building containing offices, meeting rooms and
laboratories with a floor area of approximately 15,000 m_, a 100-space covered
car park and the landscaping of the site with a surface area of about
17,000 m_. The total cost of the works is estimated at : 24 950 000 € ex.
VAT
