THE INFERNAL COUPLE
Sultry lovebirds Thorgeir Gudmundsson and Sigrún Hrólfsdóttir are
permanent fixtures on Reykjavík bar stools. That is, when they are
not travelling the world promoting their art, music and movies.
Thorgeir (aka Toggi or Tank) is the bass player of Singapore Sling, the
drummer of The Funerals and singer/guitarist for Hank and Tank. As
if that weren’t enough, this Columbia University graduate is also a
film maker, having received recognition for his documentaries and
short films both in his home country and abroad. His wife Sigrún
forms part of the artistic female trio “The Icelandic Love
Corporation”, an outfit that works in all kinds of media: perform-
ance, plastic arts, video and installation. Rising stars on the interna-
tional arts scene, they have held recent exhibitions in New York,
Prague and Basel.
