Lilja Gunnarsdóttir, Illustrator. #1 Lilja studied at the Icelandic
Academy of the Arts before moving to New York to attend the School of
Visual Arts, from which she holds an MFA in photography.
Eygló Svala Arnarsdóttir, Contributing Writer. #2
Eygló received a BA in communication studies from the University of Erfurt,
Germany in 2004, and an MA in international journalism from the University
of Westminster, London in 2006. She is currently the web editor for
icelandreview.com.
Trevor Baker, Contributing Writer. #3 Trevor is a London-
based music journalist. He started his career writing for Melody Maker
magazine and he regularly contributes to The Guardian and numerous other
British publications. He is also the author of Rock London: The Defini tive
Guide – a guide to London’s music venues, available from Aureus Books.
Hester Blankestijn, Contributing Photographer. #4
Hester, studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague,
the Netherlands. She made commercial photographs for several companies
and for the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Her non-commercial work has been
exhibited in the Netherlands and Indonesia.
Benjamin Crotty, Contributing Photographer. #5 Hailing
from Spokane, Washington, Benjamin is currently finishing an advanced
degree program at le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains
in Tourcoing, France. His work includes paintings, videos, performances,
sculptures, and drawings.
Sara Blask, Staff Writer. #6 Sara’s work has appeared in Outside,
Men’s Journal, Plenty, and the Chicago Tribune, among others. She holds a
master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
