92 ICELAND REVIEW ICELAND REVIEW 93 Iceland Deluxe SPECIAL PROMOTION The Blue Lagoon’s Exclusive Lounge is a place where guests can experience the facility’s splendor in peace and tranquility, due to the limited number of bookings accepted, the special amenities and world-class custom- er service. The Exclusive Lounge offers guests discretion, thanks to their own private shower/changing room. Com- plementary towels, bathrobes and slippers are available, as well as a set of eight Blue Lagoon skincare products. The lounge features a fireplace, chic designer furniture and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. A dedicated attendant will be made available to make sure guests are taken care of. Upon arrival at the Blue Lagoon, guests are welcomed by a representative and escorted to the lounge. From that moment on, the defining characteristics of your visit will be privacy, relaxation and leisure. IN-WATER MASSAGE A number of spa treatments are available. For instance, during the in-water massage, treatments take place with guests floating in the soothing warmth of the lagoon. Your massage—deep, relaxing, and conducted with Blue Lagoon mineral massage oil—is a wonder in itself. This in-water experience, the Relaxing Massage, is the foun- dation of all other Blue Lagoon massages and treatments. Guests choosing the Relaxing Massage are invited to determine the duration and the areas to focus on during the treatment. Meanwhile, the Signature Treatment is a glorious two-hour session with a scrub, wrap and massage. HEALING MASKS Most visitors enjoy the opportunity to cover their faces with soothing and exfoliating silica mud. You’ve prob- ably already seen people using the Silica Mud Mask in any number of Blue Lagoon photographs. All guests are invited to experience the wonders of the Blue Lagoon’s iconic purifying minerals. Visitors can apply as much as they want to their face and body, before leaving it on for at least five minutes. After it is rinsed off, bathers feel a significant difference in the softness of their skin. An al- gae mask is available as well, which reawakens skin cells, leaving skin smooth and revitalized. Blue Lagoon skin products made with lagoon silica mud, as well as algae, are available for purchase in the gift shop. LUXURIOUS SAUNA AND STEAM ROOMS For those not interested in taking a soak, there are steam baths a few steps from the Exclusive Lounge, as well as a dry sauna and massage area. The sauna and steam baths are a big part of the Blue Lagoon experience and the surroundings are incredible. Carved into the lava rock, they reflect the rugged surroundings of the Blue Lagoon. bluelagoon.com The Blue Lagoon’s Exclusive Lounge is a place where guests can experience the facility’s splendor in peace and tranquility.
