Located on Road 731, a short distance from the town of
Blönduós, Galsi offers one-and-a-half-hour riding tours four
times a day (at 10:00, 14:00, 17:00 and 20:00) along the banks
of the river Blanda. We’ll take you through the beautiful, peaceful
landscape of Northwest Iceland, once you have received basic
instruction in riding safety, ensuring the optimum experience with
the Icelandic horse. The most adventurous riders have the option
of a four-hour ride, including a picnic, to the charming Húnavatn
lake. Riding lessons are available for people of all ages.
At Lýsuhóll, we offer riding tours along the wide beaches of
Löngufjörur, Iceland’s most beautiful horse riding area. Guided
riding tours, short and long, are available upon request. Our farm
has a fantastic view of Snæfellsjökull glacier, the Snæfellsnes
mountain range and the ocean. For those who want to stay
longer, we offer accommodation in our cozy summer cottag-
es and in two larger houses, which are open year-round and
include a hot tub—perfect for soaking in after a long ride.

We’re conveniently located on the south side of Hvalfjörður
fjord, 39 km from Reykjavík. Here, you can experience the
beauty of Hvalfjörður, as we take you on one to two-hour riding
tours between steep mountain slopes or along the beautiful
beach. Experience the Icelandic horse in picturesque surround-
ings. Our guesthouse accommodates up to 20 people. This is
the perfect place to relax, hike, and enjoy the rich bird life. Bed
and breakfast service is offered in summer, but in winter, the
kitchen is all yours.

riding center that cares for its horses—and its customers. We
offer one or two-hour-long rides along one of Europe’s most
visually stimulating coastlines. Enjoy an uninterrupted view of
Snæfellsjökull and Faxaflói bay on the sparsely populated pen-
insula—the perfect place for relaxation.
Our friendly, family-run business welcomes inexperienced riders,
as well as expert equestrians. The horses are well cared for,
taking all winter off to relax every year.
