Mr. Silla & Mongoose have convened a
grand celebration Thursday June 26 in
Organ. This is in fact a release concert
for their debut album Foxbite which
for some reason never was held, but
they’re making up for it by celebrating
it’s anniversary more flamboyantly than
is customary. The dance moguls of FM
Belfast also plan to give the audience
some fresh tunes straight from USA
where they have hung around lately and
simultaneously revere the duo’s debut.
Yet another thing that makes this con-
cert unconventional is the talked-about
ornamentations and the glorified cakes
which Silla herself has promised to be
unforgettable.

Step into
the Viking Age
Experience Viking-Age Reykjavík at the
new Settlement Exhibition. The focus of the
exhibition is an excavated longhouse site which
dates from the 10th century ad. It includes
relics of human habitation from about 871, the
oldest such site found in Iceland.
Multimedia techniques bring Reykjavík’s
past to life, providing visitors with insights
into how people lived in the Viking Age, and
what the Reykjavík environment looked like
to the first settlers.
The exhibition and
museum shop are open
