LÆKNABLAÐIÐ Braunula flexible plastic cannula giving days longer intravenous intrusion without irritation This unique method of intravenous intrusion is quickcr and safer than any previous method. The revolutionary deslgn of Braunula, which is a thin metal cutting needle sheathed with a close fitting plastic capillary, enables the puncture and intrusion to be carried out in one smooth action. A gentle twist-pull and the metal needle is withdrawn leaving the capillary in the vein ready for connection to the drip tubing. The capillary cannot accidentally slip into the vein, and, as it fits the puncture exactly there is no danger of blood seepage. Being flexible, the capillary lies along the vessel, allowing more movemcnt and preventing irritation. The Braunula can be left in position several days and is uniquely designed to allow injections to be made through the sterile plastic stopper. Braunula is much more than a new product... it is a revolu- tion in cannula method. ® B. Braun Melsungen W.-Germany
