automation institute ought to be of
great importance to the development
of industry in this country He recom-
mends, that such an institute be estab-
lished with an initial staff of an
industrial engineer, an electrical
engineer and a mechanical engineer.
The functions of such an institute
ought, according to Mr. de Groot, be:
a) Information service to promote the
application of low cost automation. b)
Educational Activity. c) Technical
Assistance. d) Laboratory Operation.
