At the truck, you can order typical Mexican fair— tacos, quesadillas and nachos, and they’re actually spicy! (By Icelandic standards, at least.) The alley provides a nice haven for snacking, with oversized Christmas lights and picnic tables, and the truck itself is cute and colourful, decorated with sugar skulls, lucha libre masks, and a pair of ratty Converse dangling from the truck’s awning. The truck, which will soon be repainted and officially named the Takkó Truck in a punny merging of Mexican and Icelandic culture, is open weekdays till 22:00 and weekends until the bars begin closing.
