‘Points Of View’
Exhibition At The
Culture House
Tues-Sun
10:00-17:00,
Hverfisgata 15
The Culture
House’s ‘Points
of View’ exhibi-
tion is an ode to
Icelandic history,
art and identity,
presenting dif-
ferent ways of
“viewing” culture.
The “up” room has
pieces inspired
by that which
draws our atten-
tion upwards,
depicting the
various religions
and political
leaders Iceland
has followed over
the course of his-
tory. The “inside”
room deals with
the hidden and
secret: the night-
mares and the
monster under
the bed, includ-
ing works like
1670’s Book of
Witchcraft. All of
the seven “points
of view” (also
including “down,”
“mirror,” and so
on) present old
and contempo-
rary art pieces
and historical
artefacts. With
four floors worth
of rooms, this is
a real cultural
feast. JS
