Instead of driving northeast to Gullfoss and Geysir, one can take the ring road to the east, and after journeying for approximately 120 kilo- metres, the beautiful green cliffs of the Eyjafjöll mountains appear with the glacier looming behind them. Once there, you can spot the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, a small but exquisite waterfall. You can even walk underneath it, an exciting, if somewhat wet experience.
