Icelandair is a service company in the forefront of
the airline industry. Surveys conducted amongst
Icelandair passengers – a diverse group of people
of various nationalities – indicate that what distin-
guishes Icelandair from other airlines is its on-time
performance and operational security, along with
the team spirit, positive attitude and the quality of
service displayed by Icelandair’s ground and air
crews. Icelandair therefore takes pride in training
and continuous education available for employees.
Last year, Icelandair was also awarded two prizes in
a contest organised by the World Airline
Entertainment Association for its in-flight trailer.
Icelandair measures its service performance in
accordance with the European Customer Service
Index (ECSI). The company has attained its target goal: a rating above 76%. This impres-
sive score means Icelandair ranks right up there with the best airlines in the world.
A recent survey revealed the following:
Over 90% of all passengers are satisfied with the company’s service.
93% recommend Icelandair.
93% of all passengers find flight attendants well informed.
92% of all passengers find flight attendants helpful.
92% of all passengers are impressed with the cleanliness of the aircraft.
88% of all passengers would use Icelandair again if making the same trip.
While we are pleased with the results of these surveys we know that maintaining a
pleased customer requires constant work and attention to detail. We will continue to
listen to you, our customers, to guide us towards further achievements.
