Ever wonder what world peace smells like? Or if world peace had
a brand image, what would it look like? Brynja Sverris wonders.
Brynja Sverris is a successful international model, artist and
designer who has combined both her passion for art and her deep
spiritual beliefs to create a stunning bracelet called ‘Embracing
Faith’, a symbol of unity and world peace.
A symbol of world peace? Okay, don’t chuckle. On the other hand,
laugh away. It would make Brynja happy.
“All the interviews I do make me look corny. I want this one to be
funny,” she says, dressed in a long, cream-coloured jacket and
white trousers. “I guess people think I’m naive because I wear
white,” she jokes.
Well, try to talk seriously about intangible concepts like world
peace, unity and faith, and naysayers are sure to pull out their
cynical writing utensils. Heck, even Brynja herself admits that her
bracelet is a tad out of the ordinary: “It’s a bit kitsch, don’t you
think?” she asks with a smile.
It’s a question that makes one pause, especially since Brynja is
working on an entire ‘Embracing Faith’ art project that imagines
concepts of peace and spiritual unity by incorporating the five
senses. Smell has not been created as of yet, but a book is fin-
ished and a CD is on the way, and then there’s the sense of touch,
which is the textured and polished sterling silver bracelet that has
taken the art and design world by storm with Italian Vogue calling
Jewellery designed and crafted to promote the notion of
peace and unity. Sound impossible?
