Handcrafted Leather Goods
The company Leduridjan has been making ATSON leather goods
since 1936. Recently, they’ve been including Icelandic ocean
leathers in their designs of assorted goods such as business- and
credit-card holders, wallets, day-planners, folders and portfolios.
Fish leather? Icelandic ocean leathers are supple yet very durable,
as well as fashionable. The designer’s use of the raw edge of the
fish skin further lends to ATSON leather goods their individual
character. The company Leduridjan also uses traditional calf
leather which is vegetably tanned, top grain leather.

Iceland is exempt from the recently implemented law abolishing tax- and duty-free sales to travellers within the European Union
(EU). Iceland is not a member of the EU and therefore not affected by the change. In other words, Leifur Eiríksson Terminal is easy
on the wallet!
With stores open for all incoming and outgoing flights, the terminal provides travellers with a plethora of buying opportunities. All
merchandise available at the terminal are both tax- and duty-free, and prices are extremely competitive. The decision to end intra-EU
duty-free sales is increasing the already flourishing tax- and duty-free trade at the Leifur Eiríksson Terminal, located at Keflavík
International Airport, while at the same time equalising taxes among EU member states.
Icelandair does not fly between any destinations within the EU. Thus, Icelandair passengers can shop duty-free at all European des-
tinations, as well as in Iceland, when arriving and departing.
Spice it Up
Pottagaldrar (Potmagic) specialises in herb & spice blends for
easy, modern and creative cooking. The company started in 1989
with only six blends, which were sold at weekend markets. Today,
Potmagic has a range of 75 items and the company’s products are
sold in all major supermarkets throughout Iceland.
The blend names, such as Lamb Islandia or The Fish Blend, indi-
cate which foods work best with the blends. However, there are
always exceptions to the rule, as Lamb Islandia is also great in
potato dishes and turkey stuffing!
The entire product range contains no harmful substitutes such as
MSG.

DANA is a well-known Icelandic artist. Under her trademark name Módir Jörd (Mother Earth),
she has produced ceramic figurines, bowls, vases and pictures that decorate thousands of
Icelandic homes. Her work is also very popular with tourists.
DANA produces all the glazes she uses herself, and her work combines the power and origi-
nality of the Icelandic landscape: lava, ice and fire.
