100 Safety on Board Service on Board MEALS AND BEVERAGES (ALCOHOL) ON BOARD In order to maintain our high culinary stan- dards, Icelandair operates a first-class flight catering unit at its hub airport in Iceland. On our flights we offer a light snack or a meal as appropriate to the length of each flight and the time of day. Our chefs and service managers regularly update the menus with the aim of making your in-flight meal a pleasure. On all flights, except ones offering a light snack ser- vice, passengers can order a variety of special meals for children, babies, dietary or religious needs, with at least 24 hours in advance. A wide selection of wine and spirits is avail- able from our flight-bar on Economy Class for a small premium. Please turn to the last page in Atlantica for our selection. ICELANDAIR BUSINESS CLASS On Icelandair’s Business Class, a choice of menus and free drinks on board are of course standard. Business Class passengers get extra wide seats with leg rests. On North America flights, Business Class passengers receive a travel kit containing slumber shades, socks, earplugs, and several other amenities for in- flight comfort. In-flight movies are offered on DVD, where a variety of well-known movies is standard on each flight. FOR OUR YOUNGEST PASSENGERS For the babies on board, we can provide dia- pers and bibs upon request. To make the flight fun for children, some toys are at hand during the flight. Among our selection are colouring books, crayons and Game Boys. On some flights, the number of Game Boys is limited, thus returning them to the cabin crew after usage will give more children a chance to enjoy them. After take-off, these toys are handed out by the cabin crew. In addition to toys, we also offer a special children audio channel. We hope that our young passengers enjoy this service and that it will help to make their flight more enjoyable. UNKNOT YOUR SHOULDERS BY LIFTING THEM TO YOUR EARS IN A CIRCULAR MOTION. REPEAT. STRETCH YOUR ARMS UPWARD ONE AT A TIME. REPEAT FOR EACH ARM. WITH BOTH HEELS ON THE FLOOR, RAISE YOUR TOES AS HIGH AS YOU CAN, THEN PUT YOUR TOES DOWN AND RAISE YOUR HEELS. SEVERAL SIMPLE EXERCISES: ^( ~ SAFETY ON BOARD Please follow carefully all safety instructions provided in our in-flight video and read the information on the safety card in your seat pocket. Our cabin crew puts your safety above all, thus we kindly recommend that you follow their guidance or sugges- tions during the flight. Fasten your seat belt securely and put all tables in their upright position during take-off and landing. Use of electronic devices is prohibited during this time frame and the use of portable tape recorders, CD players, laptop computers, video cameras and elec- tronic games are limited to the cruising phase of the flight. The use of heart pacemakers, hearing aids and other devices required for medical reasons is, of course, not restricted. We recommend that you keep your seat belt fastened throughout the flight. Cabin baggage should be stored in the overhead compartments or placed under the seat in front of you. Please be careful when you open the compartments as luggage may have shifted during the flight. When space is limited, we might need to store a part of the cabin baggage in the luggage compartments. Smoking is prohibited on all Icelandair flights. ^ ( I C E L A N D A I R Service on board 099-112 Flugleiðir(nýtt) 24.6.2002 18:55 Page 100
