at maximizing participation in the
registry, and gladlyjoins the initiative of the
Icelandic National League with our friends
in Iceland on a venture which promises to
bolster the strength of our affiliation. We
sincerely encourage your assistance in
spreading news of this registry to friends
and family; we hope for the widest possi-
ble participation, but must rely on a spirit
of volunteerism to reach our best success.
In the immediate future, we will make
the registration forms and accompanying
information sheet available at centres of
focus in Icelandic Canadian communities;
at the post office, for example. We intend
to saturate that media available to us as a
means of communicating this initiative,
and to rely on the chapters of the inl to
extend efforts in their given community.
This summer, the forms secured both
interest and commitment at Islending-
adagurinn and at Folklorama; these and
like events constitute an excellent basis for
continued dispersal.

Let us embrace this thoughtful initiative
from the land of our provenance. The time
fosters the renewal of the bond of friend-
ship between us, and Iceland continues to
demonstrate strong commitment to clear
and widen the path of communication be-
tween us.
Much can be accomplished with good
will. Mikid ma ef vel vill.
