My mother, Kristin Arnason (nee
Benson) was a strong supporter of the
Festival and had the honour of serving as
Fjallkona in 1973.
I am honoured to carry on my family’s
tradition of service to this Festival and, in a
broader extent, to maintaining and encour-
aging our very vibrant Icelandic presence.
It is a work of passion.
