Heimskringla on 65 years of useful service to Icelandic Canadians.
ANNIVERSARY
Always a lively chronicler of current events, Heimskringla has
also served to interpret the Canadian way of life to bewildered
new arrivals from Iceland. It has promoted national unity here
and yet has kept a cultural link with the old country. It has en-
couraged Icelandic Canadians to play an important part in com-
munity affairs, by publishing accounts of their successes in all
fields of endeavor.
