In her exhibition, Sirra Sigrún
Sigurðardóttir juxtaposes structural

a satirical portrayal of the social
hierarchy using the language of
mathematics and geometry.

Take A Walk Through Art
‘Visual Wandering’ by Erla S. Haraldsdóttir
ASÍ Art Museum
Freyjugata 41 (G5) | Oct 12 – Nov 2 | 13 - 17 | Free!
Artist Erla S. Haraldsdóttir has the enviable gift of being able to
paint in a way that combines photorealistic motifs with painterly
excellence and humour. Her classical training is showcased in this
exhibit, as she delivers a unique combination of concept-driven
methods, energetic brushwork and a vivid palette. In her paintings,
she puts an emphasis on the physicality of paint, handling of
colour to create space, and light and shadow to make them look
as realistic as possible. Don’t expect to leave her works untouched.
