the forefront of Icelandic sculpture
throughout his life.

Snapshots Of A Moment
Þorsteinn Jósepsson (1907–1967)
was a widely travelled author and
journalist. Þorsteinn’s photography
presents an intricate panorama of
Icelandic life and a rapidly changing
rural landscape. His collection
of photographs is one of the
largest, most important and most
comprehensive private collections
from the 20th century preserved
in Iceland’s National Museum of
Photography, a part of the National
Museum of Iceland.

FutureCrash / Tribal TV
Ásdís Sif works with performance art
in her video works, which take place
in different ways in various places in
time and space. Her exhibition is a
large video installation which springs
from a previous piece by the artist,
from the 2006 exhibition ‘Apostles'
Clubhouse.’

Reactive Wall
This interactive artwork is one of
several collaborations between artist
Mojoko and computer programmer
Shang Liang. Visitors interact with
the work by making sounds through
a microphone, and the pitch and
volume received is interpreted by the
software, which in turn manipulates
their visual rendering.

Synthesis
This international exhibition comprises
works by seven artists. The artists
make three-dimensional installations
which share the qualities of reflecting
a certain perception, thinking, and
rhythm, which may be seen as an
echo of life itself, of primal forces, the
structure of the fabric of the world and
the ongoing genesis of the universe.

Andreas Eriksson is one of the most
acclaimed Swedish artists of his
generation. The exhibition presents
Andreas’s works from the last ten

The Seasons in Kjarval’s Art
Every season imbues the land with
new life, and every cloud casts new
colour upon the mountains. This
exhibit focuses on how land and saga
merge to become one in the works of
celebrated Icelandic artist Jóhannes
Kjarval.

For the exhibition, artist Andreas
Eiriksson has selected paintings
and drawings by Kjarval, which will
be shown along with new work by
Andreas himself in appreciation of
Kjarval’s art.

Mathematics and fun are generally not words that go together in an
exhibit’s description, but artist Sirra Sigrún Sigurðardóttir’s new works
do exactly that. ‘Flatlands’ is an examination of colour spectrums,
principles of movement and space, statistical information, scientific
theories and topographical contexts, and in it Sirra puts topics that
elude the general public into a new and accessible context. You may
not leave the exhibit feeling like a mathematic genius, but you can
expect some food for thought. SV
