11 Fram til febrúar 1989 vó neysluverðsvísitalan 2/3 og byggingarvísitalan 1/3. Eftir það er lánskjaravísitalan samsett að jðfnu
úr neysluverðs-, byggingar- og launavísitölum. Lánskjaravísitalan tók gildi í júní 1979. Fyrir þann tíma hafði vísitalan ekki
formlegt gildi. Vísitalan var lögð niður með lögum 1. apríl 1995 og frá þeim tíma taka fjárskuldbindingar sem tengdar eru
lánskjaravísitölu sömu breytingum og neysluverðsvísitala.
The credit terms index was a composite index, with equal weights assigned to the consumer price index, wage index and
building cost index. The credit terms index, mainly usedfor indexation of financial obligation, took effect in June 1979, and
until January 1989 it was composed of the consumer price index and building cost index, with the former carrying twice the
weight of the later. The credit terms index in this table is based on the more recent weights. Prior to June 1979 the index did
not have any legal validity. The index was abolished by law effective from April 1, 1995 andfrom that time indexation of the
fmancial instruments refers to consumer prices only.
