TaTe PodcasTs – The Tate Museum galleries in the
UK have been breaking museum ground with their
new series of podcasts and vodcasts. Users can choose
to download from a host of tours including audio
commentary from artists, critics, curators, thinkers,
scientists, and even school children (which are perhaps
the most interesting). Everyone but your mailman is
in on these podcasts it seems, but with interesting
conversations and insightful remarks, these podcasts
make a great companion when visiting the museum.

MaKe VodcasT – If you ever wondered what happens
to the little boys who dismantle their Nintendos and
burn their GI Joes, then tune into MAKE. This vodcast
provides step-by-step instructions on everything from
how to construct a catapult to wiring an alarm clock that

theme song, then this homemade podcast/vodcast
has quite a lot to offer the traveler. Host Chris
Christensen brings you travel stories from around the
world through interviews mixed with clever segments
with historical and cultural info. The music gets a little
heavy-handed, but overall Chris does a good job at
keeping the amateur traveler informed about what to

WhaT’s cooKing grandMa? – This is a great
example of how the powers of podcasting are put
to good use. Users from around the globe submit
vodcast clips of grandmothers making their favorite
recipes. Whether you miss homemade biscuits or
just need to hear how things were in the good old
