Robert Thomas Rummery was
awarded the medal for highest schol-
astic attainment in Junior High sec-
tion of Isaac Brock school, Winnipeg,
accompanied by a $20.00 endowment
in recognition of general proficiency
in all fields of endeavour, with an aver-
age of 94, under the leadership of
Principal Abercrombie. He also receiv-
ed an award from the School Board.
His mother, Mrs. R. G. Rummery,
is the former Clara Bjornson, daughter
of Sigurdur and Ina Bjornson.

Thor Johannson
Thor Johannson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Thor Johannson, Riverton, re-
ceived a $400.00 Province of Manitoba
bursary. He is taking a pre-Vet course
at the University of Manitoba.

Grant Richard Gisel, son of E. Al-
fred and Elizabet Gisel of Winnipeg,
has been awarded a Goodyear Bursary,
of approximately $600.00 a year, for
tuition at any approved Canadian uni-
versity for a maximum of four years.
Grant has chosen the University of
Grant Richard Gisel
Manitoba and this year is taking First
Year Commerce. His maternal grand-
parents were Jona and Sveinbjorn
Gislason of Winnipeg.
