March 5, 1971 THE WHITE FALCON Page 5 PanAm slashes air fare to N.Y. Pan American has established new air fares between Keflavik and New York, effective April 1. In months other than the peak months of July through September, military men can pay 1167 for a round-trip ticket. (No one-way tickets are sold to servicemen) For dependents, the one-way fare will be $84 and $168 for round- trip tickets. Dependent children between two and 12 pay half the mother's fare and ten-percent if they are under two. During the peak season, mili- tary personnel pay $227for round- trips. Wives pay $114. Fares for children remain the same per- centage rates. Births # Eight more births have been recorded at the NATO base dispen- sary within the past month. Benson was pro- moted to CTRCM on March l,and the following day reenlisted for an additional six years. Upon his reenlistment he received a bonus, a special 96-hour liberty and a free dinner for himself and his family at the Chief Petty Officer Club. Chief Benson is currently serving as leading CPO and Oper- ations Chief at NSGA. He graduated from Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif, with an Associate in science degree, majoring in data processing, under the Navy's Associate Degree Com- pletion Program (ADCOP)o He is also a member of the Senior En- listed Advisory Board for ComFair- Kef . • Bill Wedertz, editorial ad- viser of the White Falcon advanced to JOC on March 1. • RMC Donald E. Kilpatrick, Jr., reenlisted for 4 years on February 24. He is attached to CommSta. • ABCS William H. Jones has reenlisted for 3 years. The cer- emony took place February 24. • USMC SSgt. Gary K. Talbot KILPATRICK HICKEY HARRIS SEARCY LEGGE was advanced March 1. Upon his advancement he became NCO in charge of NavSta correctional facility. • Capt. William J. Young, Jr. received the Bronze Star Medal for services in Vietnam with the 552nd AEW&C Wing from McClellan AFB, Calif.’ • Capt. Michael W. Harris re- ceived the Air Force Commendation Medal and his second Oak Leaf Cluster for outstanding achieve- ments with the 57th FIS. • SMSgt. Jerry M. Hickey re- ceived the Joiht Service Commen- dation Medal for service with USAF Test Command, Defense Atomic Support Agency, Sandia Base, Al- buquerque, New Mexico, during the period January 1966 to February 1970. • NSGA's CTR1 Larry L. Brink reenlisted for six years. Upon his reenlistment he received a bonus, a special 96-hour liberty and a free dinner for his family and himself at the 56 Club. • SSgt. Edward J.
