ALL HALLOWS EVE It’s time to show off your
threads and latex mask, because it’s Halloween
time! Even in Iceland, where we have no concept of
the Roman festival Pomona or trick or treating, we
like to dress up and have fun. Dillon has a goth-
themed party to celebrate the occasion, with
Queewolf, Gbit, DJ Vetrarsorg and DJ Mole IX
playing select tunes, and DJ Sexítæm keeping the
party going at Dolly. Free admission to both!
TONIGHT A DJ WILL SAVE YOUR NIGHT The
Affair Group is a collective of female DJs that have
the sole goal of spinning those discs in a manner
that is enjoyable. With fantastic DJs like Yamaho,
Sunna Ben and Anna Rakel, hearing that there
is an admission of 1,000 ISK should really be no
bother—it’s a steal! The party starts at 22:00 at
Húrra, so don’t be late, it’ll be a real ball.

Kimono have been at the forefront of Iceland’s
post-punk and indie scene for over a decade now,
and are celebrating the release of their 7” single
‘Spectres’ through Theory of Whatever Records.
They are joined by the haunting poet-punks of
Kælan Mikla, and new post-punk kids on the
block, Börn. TGB

Samaris gigs are always an emotional experience.
As soon as Jófríður Ákadóttir’s voice hits the
atmosphere, you can feel any tension in your
muscles melt away, as your heart gets transported
to glacial fjords and cool starlit nights. Add in
the clarinet of Áslaug Rún Magnúsdóttir and the
electronic genius of Þórður Kári Steinþórsson
and you have yourself one of the most promising
bands in Iceland. Samaris is celebraing the release
of their latest latest album, ‘Silkidrangar.’ They are
joined by the electronic hip hop outfit Gervisykur.

Forty Icelandic goldsmiths are exhibiting their
wares to celebrate the Goldsmith Association
of Iceland’s 90th birthday. Expect to spend long
hours drooling over their fancy work, plotting and
scheming of ways to squeeze your budget this
month, or acquiring a sugar mumma or daddy. MC
