a homey atmosphere produced by picnicking families, the winery still feels

Sterling Vineyards The view is spectacular, there’s a bell tour, and you
can take an aerial tram. Located off Silverado Trail, Sterling Vineyards
should not be missed. Oh, Sterling Vineyard’s 2000 Reserve Cabernet

vineyards producing some of the valley’s best sparkling wines.

Frank Family Vineyards Hollywood mogul Rich Frank owns it, but the
winery was founded in 1884 as Larkmead Winery, and the old stone house
where wine-tastings are held is a national historic monument. The 2002
Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford Reserve is spectacular.

The name is synonymous with swanky wine bars and balloon rides, gallery
walks and trendy eateries. But most famous are its spas, where tourists

fortable rooms are only a few blocks from all the action. Okay, so there’s
not a whole heck of a lot of action in Calistoga, but Dr. Wilkinson’s pool is
