Energy for life through forces of nature
information.It is not a
secret, but I dont want to
tell it before hand to the
readers.
sara says: can you explain
briefly how the encounter with
the blind man changed your
life and how that influenced
your novel
Hannu says: I started to
think about the meaning of
life and all the good things
we have around us without
noticing them. We should
be satisfied with our every
day living, but usually we
always miss something. I
think if we have enough food,
clothes, warm apartment and
health. That should be enough.
I try to remember that,
unfortunately I forget it
quite often. Then I remember
the young blind man.
sara says: in a recent
interview you told a reporter,
“a text message may reveal
much more about a person than
you would initially think.”
can you please explain what
you mean by that.
Hannu says: When we send
text messages it is sometimes
easier to tell the ideas and
feelings than over the phone.
You can hide in a way from the
one you sent the message. That
is one reason why the main
character sends the messages.
Perhaps he has something to
hide or escape.
sara says: so you think
text messages give a sense
of anonymity? it’s just the
words, without any added
meaning?
Hannu says: Yes that is
the point. On the other
hand, when a story is told
by text messages the reading
experience is different. You
have to read something between
the lines and also between
the messages. The poet before
told me that the messages are
like small windows: you see
part of the landscape but not
the horizon or the entity. You
have to fill in the missing
parts with your imagination.
sara says: so are text
messages the new way to convey
intimate thoughts? in essence,
