You’ll start your ‘East Iceland Highlands, Fjords
and Heritage’ tour with a fresh breakfast at the fam-
ily-run Vallanes organic farm—served right in one of
the toasty-warm greenhouses. You’ll also venture
into the breathtaking eastern highlands, and learn
about the intrepid families who first made their
homes on this inhospitable frontier at the Wilderness

can even sample some hákarl, Iceland’s infamous fer-
mented shark delicacy, which is still produced there.
