THYROID TESTS IN HYPERTHYROIDISM:
LITTLE SHORT TERM VARIATION.

There is paucity of data on the intraindividual
variation of thyroid hormone levels in hyper-
thyroid subjects. We therefore measured T^, T^,
TSH, T^ resin uptake and Free T^ (Amersham kit)
at 15 - 30 minutes interval in 'lo hyperthyroid
subjects and three euthyroid controls during a
period of six hours. Little or no variation was
found in the hyperthyroid group. The assaysusesed
had an average irnprecision (CV) up to 11%.
Correlation between the different tests was
studied.
