So NOTES ON ICELANDIC MATTERS may be misunderstood in England and America, in which it Denmark) forms a part of the Berne International Union, so that the general postal rates are the same as in the rest of the civilized world (that is, the same as between Germany and France, or between Canada or the United States and England). A list of the farmsteads of Iceland, their names properly given, may be had at the Reykjavik and Copenhagen postoffices. It is compiled by Vilhelm Finsen and is entitled: “Islenzkt bsejatal.”
