8) The relationship between the total labour
requirements for the tending of dairy

Farms with more labour requirements
than indicated by the above equation had,
without exception, either labour consu-
ming milking techniques, or inconvenient
facilities for feeding. The relationship be-
tween milking time and total labour re-
quirements indicates that time consuming
milking techniques may increase total
labour requirements by nearly 20%.
