128. Charitable Almsman er trykt i Ms s. 952' med varianter fra E2.
Historien kan følges tilbage til Gautier de Cluny (PL 173 sp. 1384) og
er Pez 1731 nr. V samt Dexter 1927 nr. VI. Samlenummer i Poncelet
1902 er nr. 311. Henvisninger findes hos Wilson 1946 s. 198 nr. 48 og
hos Gripkey 1952 nr. I, 19 + 1953 nr. V, 28. Teksten er anderledes end i
B nr. 11 s. 81, men store forskelle i det latinske grundlag for B og D kan
der ikke have været.
129. Borger i Strasbourg er trykt i Ms s. 95223ff. med varianter fra E2.
Det er samme legende som SG nr. 100, der ifølge Poncelet 1902 nr. 747
kun er kendt fra det ene latinske håndskrift. Widding 1967 s. 149.
130. Fattig mand gav sin ko - fik guldbæger er trykt i Ms s. 955f.
med varianter fra E2. Historien kan sammenlignes med D nr. 219, trykt
s. 1049, der erTubach 1969 nr. 4089. Jfr. Jakobsen 1960.
131. Foot Cut O ff. Viviers (Sacer ignis) er trykt i Ms s. 956 med varian-
ter fra E2. Historien har en kort prolog, der gør det klart, at de følgende
legender handler om syge eller forpinte, åndeligt eller legemligt. Den
første af dem svarer til Pez 1731 nr. XVIII (Poncelet 1902 nr. 261);
Dexter 1927 nr. XXV; Kjellman 1922 s. 141-142; Thott 26 8° bl. 56r.
Mielot nr. LXV har ligeledes en prolog (Poncelet 1902 henholdsvis nr.
261 og nr. 1609). Legenden har også en epilog af moraliserende eller be-
lærende karakter, og en lignende epilog omtales af Gripkey 1953 s. 30.
Handlingen udspilles i valfartskirken i Vivaria (E: Uinaria), dvs. Vi-
viers.
132. Rich Man and Poor Widow er optaget i D blandt sygdomslegen-
derne, men trykkestedet i Ms s. 982-986 med varianter fra E vidner om,
at legenden i E2 er optaget i den serie, der omhandler kvinder. Forskel-
ligt skøn har ført til forskellig placering, hvad der i forbindelse med an-
dre uligheder skal tages i betragtning, når man vil gøre op om hånd-
skrifternes indbyrdes afhængighed.
Teksten kan næppe være en forkortet gengivelse af SpecH VII k. 96,
der er optaget i Poncelet 1902 både som nr. 248 Cuidam .. og som nr.
1466 Quidam .. Det kan være på sin plads her at nævne, at jeg ikke har
haft mulighed for nærmere at bestemme forholdet mellem SpecH på
den ene side og BM Add. 15.723 II på den anden. Det sidste skal bygge
på SpecH. Mussafia har 1896 s. 11-17 udgivet både en rytmisk tekst
