THE MUSEUM OF MAGIC AT STRANDIR
This remote area of the West Fjords has
been connected to folklore and the occult
for centuries. Visit the museum to learn all
about the history of sorcery in Iceland -
magical staves, pagan beliefs and burnings
at the stake. You’ll spot fascinating objects,
such as trousers made from the skin of a
dead man’s lower body, supposed to bring
wealth to the sorcerer who wore them. The
exhibition can be opened in winter accord-
ing to prior agreement.
