Marvin Einarson dó 22. des.
1970, 48 ára að aldri, í Farm-
ington, N. Mexico, en þar hef-
ir hann átt heima í mörg ár.
Hann var sonur Mr. og Mrs.
Ágúst Einarsson, að Garðar.
Halnn lifa kona hans Opal;
stjúpdóttir, Karen Stephens,
stjúpsonur, Franklin Steph-
ens; bróðir hans, Barney Ein-
arsson, Garðar; tvær systur,
Muriel — Mrs. John Branden-
burg í Oregon og Rosemary
— Mrs. Gary Johannesson í
Califomia. Hann var jarð-
fræðingur að menntun og
þjónaði í síðari heimsstyrjöld-
inni.

Mrs. W a 1 i e r Halldorson
(Olive Thorleifson) lézt 25.
des. 1970. Hún var fædd að
Garðar, 14. nóv. 1895. Stund-
aði nám við Mayville College
og ríkisháskólann og var
kennari í skólunum í Crystal
og Garðar. Giftist Walter
Halldorson að Mountain, N.
D. 4. júní 1931. Auk eigin-
manns hennar lifa hana ein
dóttir Viola — Mrs. Lee
Helgoe í Califomia; þrjú
barnabörn; tvær systur, Mrs.
Svava Flanagan að Garðar og
Laura — Mrs. Ben Strandness
í Michigan. Ennfremur tveir
bræður.

Luella Flanagan að Grafton
dóttir Mrs. Svövu Flanagan,
Garðar lézt 8. janúar 1971,
fertug að aldri. Auk móður
hennar lifa hana tvær systur,
Kathryn — Mrs. Th. Sigfus-
son, Garðar og Dana — Mrs.
Thomas McGumen í Bismark
og bróðir, Daniel Theodore
Flanagan, Garðar. Útförin var
frá lútersku kirkju^ni að
Garðar.
Erik Thorlakson, ]Eíensel,
N. D. dó 5. janúar 1971. Hann
var fæddur að Hensel 7. sept.
1914 og átti þar heima alla
ævi, u t a n þeirra ára, er
hann var í herþjónustu í síð-
ari heimsstyrjöldinni. Hann
kvæntist Kathrine Sampson
1948 en hún dó 1958. Seinni
kona hans, Joyce Skaro Thor-
lakson lifir hann og þrír syn-
ir, James, Marty og Thomas
og þrjár dætur, Kathrene,
Nancy og Connie, öll heima.
Ennfremur lætur hann eftir
sig bróður, Helga Thorlakson
í Cavalier.
