The pretty village of Geilo is Norway’s most traditional ski resort.
This year, it celebrates 100 years of tourism and offers a host of
activities including skiing championships, concerts and theatre.
Located at 800 metres above sea level between Oslo and Bergen, it
offers a variety of pistes, and the proximity between the ski lifts to
the town centre means that you can walk to the shops and restau-
rants still wearing your ski boots. AMB
