(3) The Maritime Authority of the Kingdom
of Denmark will be responsible for the maritime
SAR services in the maritime SAR regions es-
tablished under the provisions of paragraph
2.1.4 of the Annex to the SAR Convention and
drawn up by the IMO Provisional Maritime
Search and Rescue Plan for the North Sea and
defined in paragraph (1) of the Annex to this
MoU.
(4) Based on the above specified responsibil-
ities the Participants have decided to align their
aeronautical and maritime Search and Rescue
Regions (SRR) with the dividing lines delin-
eated in the IMO Provisional Maritime Search
and Rescue Plan for the North Sea and defined in
paragraph (1) of the Annex to this MoU.
(5) The delimitation of SRRs is not related to
and shall not prejudice the delimitation of any
boundary between the two countries.
Section 2
(1) The Participants will co-operate in SAR
matters within the designated regions of respon-
sibility in accordance with the Annex to this
MoU.
(2) To improve the co-operation within these
regions, Operational Arrangements will be con-
cluded between the Stavanger Rescue Co-ordi-
nation Centre and the Rescue Co-ordination
Centre Karup and the Maritime Rescue Co-or-
dination Centre Aarhus.
(3) The SAR services will conduct SAR op-
erations in accordance with The Intemational
Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue
Manual or equivalent SAR Manuals.
(4) SAR units may, immediately and without
prior approval, enter into or fly over the SRR and
the territorial sea of the other Participant for the
purpose of searching for the position of casu-
alties and rescuing the survivors of such casu-
alties, provided they immediately report the po-
sition and time of entry into the region or the ter-
ritorial sea to the appropriate rescue co-ordina-
tion centre.
(5) Communications will be in English. Ab-
breviations, codes and signals to be used in
aeronautical incidents will be those contained in
ICAO Document 8400 (Abbreviations and

(4) Pá baggmnd af de i det foregáende fast-
lagte ansvarsomráder har aftaleparteme besluttet
at tilpasse deres luftfartsmæssige og maritime ef-
tersøgnings- og redningsregionsgrænser (SRR)
til de i den af IMO udarbejdede foreløbige plan
for maritim eftersøgning og redning i Nordsøen
fastsatte, og i stk. 1 i tillægget til dette aftaleme-
morandum definerede, skillelinjer.
(5) SRR-omrádemes afgrænsning angár ikke
og er uden præjudice for grænsedragningen mel-
lem de to lande.
Paragraf 2
(1) Aftaleparteme samarbejder i SAR-sager
inden for de i henhold til tillægget til dette afta-
lememorandum tildelte ansvarsomráder.
(2) Med henblik pá at forbedre samarbejdet
mellem disse omráder indgás der eftersøgnings-
og redningsaftaler mellem den norske rednings-
central i Stavanger og den danske flyverednings-
central i Kamp og den danske maritime red-
ningscentral i Árhus.
(3) SAR-tjenesteme udfører SAR-operationer
i overensstemmelse med den intemationale luft-
fartsmæssige og maritime eftersøgnings- og red-
ningsvejledning eller tilsvarende SAR-vejled-
ninger.
(4) SAR-enheder kan øjeblikkeligt og uden
fomdgáende tilladelse sejle ind pá eller overfly-
ve den anden aftaleparts SRR og territoriale far-
vand med henblik pá at fastlægge positionen for
en ulykke og redde overlevende fra sádanne
ulykker, dog sáledes at positionen og tidspunktet
for deres indtrængen pá luft- eller søterritoriet
øjeblikkeligt rapporteres til de relevante red-
ningscentraler.
(5) A1 kommunikation foregár pá engelsk.

ved luftfartsmæssige hændelser, er indeholdt i
Dokument 8400 Abbreviations and Codes udgi-
