The new York ramblers soccer Club will be
visiting reykjavík gay Pride 2005. The club
was formed in 1980 and is the first organized, openly gay soccer club in the Us. They participate in leagues and tournaments
locally, nationally, and internationally. in addition, they host their own tournament, The new York indoor Classic, in mid-
March. The goal of the club remains the same as when they started 25 years ago: to educate and improve players in the sport
of soccer and to break down the stereotypes of gay and lesbian people in sports.
The New York Ramblers Soccer Club will be playing against The Icelandic Lesbian Soccer Team, Sunday 7 August at 3 p.m.
