In a somewhat shorter form and with some variants, the same mass, preceded by the
rubric Missa cotidiana, is also found in MS Vallicellan. B 141, ff. 80v-81r, and in the
missal of St. Philibert de Tournus from the last quarter of the twelfth century, MS
Autun 193, f. lv, Missa in commemoratione humanitatis Jilii dei, added in a slightly
later hånd. The Autun text has been rendered in full by J. Leclercq, Recueil d’études
sur saint Bernard et ses écrits (Roma 1962), p. 110, with a remark on its Benedictine
origin.
In a more developed form it also occurs in the missals of the Austin canons of the
Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem, from the second half of the twelfth century, MS Paris lat.
