In this last men- tioned locality the farmer thought that he had first no- ticed the species in 1935. About this time (1940) the spe- cies had reached Akranes, W-Iceland; Borgarnes, Mýra- sýsla, W-Iceland, Grindavík, Gullbringusýsla, SW-Iceland, and Hvolshreppur, Rangárvallasýsla, S-Iceland, and it had also been found at some farms in Fnjóskadalur and Ljósa- vatnsskarð, Suður-Þingeyjarsýsla, N-Iceland. In 1943 it was recorded from Hemra and Vík í Mýrdalur, Vestur- Skaftafellssýsla, SE-Iceland. In 1944 Ingimar Óskarsson found the species at Kópasker, Norður-Þingeyjarsýsla, NE-Iceland, and Steindór Steindórsson recorded it from Króksfjarðarnes, Barðastrandarsýsla, NW-Iceland. In 1945 it had reached Laugar in Sælingsdalur, Dalasýsla, W-Ice- land. In the years 1954—1956 I recorded the species from Sauðlauksdalur, Barðastrandarsýsla, NW-Iceland; Hnífs- dalur and Isafjörður (the city), Isafjarðarsýsla, NW-Ice- land; Hellnar and Stapi, Snæfellsnessýsla, W-Iceland; Breiðabólstaður, Flatey and Höfn, Austur-Skaftafellssýsla,
