Cap 3—8 cm broad, thinly-fleshy, soon broadly infundibuliform, edge often wavy, slightly silky-squamulose or almost glabrous, often light pinkish (centre more brownish) but also whitish or alutaceous. Stipe solid, thin, rather slender, 2 cm X 1 mm, colour of the cap. Gills very decurrent, rather distant, arcuate, dirt gray, darker when old. Spores broadly ovate or subspheric-ovate, 6.5—7.5 X 4.7—5.5 // (J. E. Lange). Basidia 4 spored. Cystidia 0.
