Large. Cap greyish-brown (h 4—h 3) with darker spots (h 2), margin paler
(h5). Stipe stout, elongate-conical, bulbous. Gills dark brown with blackish spots,
margin white.
Sporepowder black. Spores blackish-brown, lemon-shaped.

Cap 5—8 cm broad, at first conic-campanulate, then convex, densely covered
with yellow- or orange-brown hair. Veil distinct. Stipe stout, hollow, tawny, fibril-
lose. Gills somewhat crowded, almost free to slightly adnate, at first pale, then
blackish-brown with fimbrillose toothed, white edge.
Spores lemon-shaped, verrucose, impellucid, 9—11 ,U long. Cystidia cylindric-
clavate, apex somewhat rounded-capitate, slightly crested, about 10 JU broad.

Cap 1—1/i cm broad, at first parabolic, then conic-campanulate, not hygro-
phanous, disc brown, towards the edge yellow to clay-colour, wrinkled-reticulate all
over (except the umbo) by raised ribs, edge white appendiculate. Stipe 7 cm X
2j4 mm, hollow, brownish, apex whitish or brownish pruinose, base white woolly.
Gills broad, adnate, ventricose, black with a yellow tinge and with spots. Flesh in
the stipe brownish.
Spores blackish, impellucid, almond-shaped, 13—17 X 9/t—11 JU. Cystidia
obtuse, cylindric club-shaped, up to 7 jU broad. Plate, fig. 66.
