Brúin, Selkirk
The “Brúin” Chapter of the INL of
Selkirk, MB, presented the Ella Swanson
Memorial Bursaries of $150.00 each to
two students of Icelandic descent who
are furthering their education.
Runa Magnusson presented them to:
Brent Clegg, the son of Glen and Karen
Clegg, whose maternal grandparents
were the late Oli Brandson of Lundar
and Rikka Brandson, residing in BC.
Brent’s paternal grandmother is Sina
Halldorson Clegg, residingat Oak Point,
MB.
Chris O’Neill is the son of Leslie and
Sharon O’Neill of Selkirk. His paternal
grandmother was the late Gladys O’Neill
Horoath of Hnausa, MB.
The Chapter is also starting conversa-
tional Icelandic classes at the Regional
Comprehensive High School at Selkirk
