Manitoba (Icelandic) held at Selkirk, Manitoba, in the Lutheran
Church, May 28th, 29th, 30th, 1954.

A period of silence and the reading of the Lord’s Prayer was
observed in memory of those deceased in the last year: Mrs. Lovisa
Solmundson, Gimli; Mrs. Anna Anderson, president, Baldur; Miss
Nina Johnson, Baldur; Mrs. Elin Thompson, Langruth; Mrs. Gudrun
Sveinson, Vidir; Mrs. Ida Young, Junior Ladies’ Aid, Selkirk; Mrs.
Adalbjorg Brandson, Ladies Aid, Winnipeg; Mrs. Bjorg Myrdal,
Glenboro; and Mrs. Helga M. Helgason, from Kandahar, Sask., who
died in Winnipeg. She was one of the ladies who met in convention
at Selkirk, Man., June 20, 1925, when the Lutheran Women’s League
was organized.
