Women’s League has made for the common good is the building
and maintenance of the Sunrise Lutheran Camp, at Husavik, Mani-
toba. Many people consider the summer seasons spent at the camp,
the religious instruction, and the Christian fellowship enjoyed
there, among the happiest experiences of their lives. By their de-
cision to transfer this valuable property to the Central Canada
Synod, the Lutheran Women’s Leagues has performed a very
churchman-like act. They have also made a permanent contribution
to the on-going program of Christian education of the young people
of Manitoba, and incidentally, have erected a monument to them-
selves which will outlast those made of steel and mortar. It is thus
assured that the camp will continue to exist with the purpose for
which it was originally created, and with a broader base and wider
scope now provided, it will be a greater blessing to a larger number
than ever before.
This is to be the last issue of Árdís. When all the volumes of
this annual publication are bound, they will constitute books of
inestimable value, because they contain the story of love’s labor,
and lovely laborers who dedicated their time, talents, and means
to the service of God, and the Church.
