The door of the Paulson home was ever open to a wide circle
of friends. The evenings often spent in lively discussions of many
and varied subjects. These evenings were later appreciated by the
younger generation for their stimulating and educational value.
Anna was a stately woman, her comely appearance reflecting
the goodness and kindliness of a gentle heart. Her great pleasure
in life derived from music. Perhaps some of our readers remember
her singing the role of Queen Esther in the cantata of that name,
dignified in appearance and delightful in song.
She was always active in musical circles and while living in
Leslie, conducted the church choir and was found in the forefront
of church and communal activity relating to the welfare of the
community.
In later years dimness of vision denied her many well-loved
pursuits. Patience and cheerfulness accompanied her all the days
of her life, unto its close in 1936, in Winnipeg.
She leaves, beside her daughters, one brother and three sisters.

Sigridur Sigurdson, Gimli, Mrs. Kristbjorg Thorvaldson, Exeter,

Her funeral was held from the First Lutheran Church.
